Favorite Travel Moments Of 2018

In 2018, especially since we knew we’d be moving away, we made an effort to travel in Italy as much as we could manage. Italy is such a beautiful country, with so many places to see, especially in Tuscany, that we tried to use most of our school vacations to visit within Italy rather than traveling internationally. We even have a few more trips planned within Italy before our big move!

This year I was fortunate enough to travel to

Lucca, Italy

Milan, Italy

Siena, Italy

Viareggio, Italy

Marrakesh, Morocco

Davis, California

Moments to remember:

  • Baby ISO being so quiet and interested in the beautiful churches we visited in Siena.

  • Almost everything about Marrakech. It was so lovely to visit a country so massively different from my own. The riad we stayed in was fabulous, the gardens were beautiful, and everyone was nice.

  • Seeing the famous Carnival in Viareggio was so cool. I had no idea what to expect, but the floats were so intricate, creative, and political.

  • Family and friends visiting Florence.
