2018 Travel Wishes
J and I felt stuck with travel in 2017. We were busy, we had to save for an international move, and we just felt tired. But our recent trips to Berlin and then back to Connecticut for the holidays have inspired and energized us to travel more in 2018. We want to take full advantage of living in Italy by visiting more of Tuscany as well as exploring more of Europe and the US.
So, in 2018, we're going to try the #Take12Trips challenge as described by Claire from Need Another Holiday. But, we are going to add a budget element to this #Take12Trip Challenge, as we definitely can't take massive trips very often. We're going to try to take some very cheap day trips around Tuscany (using public transportation) to see the nearby Prato and Fiesole. We also hope to take a few larger trips during school breaks in February, April, and over the summer. A visit to see friends in Vilnius is also on our agenda for a long weekend.
In addition to visiting nearby places like Prato and Fiesole, we're also hoping to visit Pisa, Sienna, and Lucca, all beautiful Tuscany cities that we can reach by train.
Where do you hope to visit in 2018? Do you have any major travel plans or dream destinations? I'm doing a giveaway over on Instagram, so be sure to swing by if you'd like to win a 2018 planner and some Italian goodies!
