Friday Photo: Pan Di Ramerino
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and had the opportunity to celebrate with loved ones. We aren't celebrating Thanksgiving until tomorrow, so today is filled with baking and preparations. So, I thought it'd be fitting to share a photo of this delicious Tuscan bread that is a specialty around Easter: pan di ramerino.
I had my first taste of this delicious sweet bread last weekend in Bagno a Ripoli, and now I'm hooked. Pan di ramerino is a special sweet bread enriched with spices, rosemary, black pepper, olive oil, and raisins. I've read that some recipes also include nuts.
