October 2017 Travel Month: Whirlwind Of Fun

October Travel

Let's pick up from where we left off last month: I was feeling a bit stressed with settling in processes and stuck. But after posting last month's review, one of my old roommates from China and his son came to stay with us for the last weekend of the month. It was such an unexpected treat, especially to see our sons play together (and I hadn't seen his son since his birth and he'd never met Baby ISO).

Just a week after my old roommate visited, Baby ISO and I were off on our jam-packed solo trip to the U.S. It was crazy and exhausting and fun -- you can read all about traveling solo with a toddler in this post. During our time in Connecticut, I had the chance to enjoy some fun foodie excursions for my writing on CTBites including the restaurants the Engine Room and Bleu Squid!

Currently, we've got friends visiting us from Vilnius, so we are enjoying more excuses to wander around this gorgeous city to see it when the leaves are changing color. I'll be sharing photos from these wanders over the week, so pop by my Instagram to see them :)

Coming Next Month

This week, J has 3 days off for fall break, so we are looking forward to relaxing and having a kid-free museum + lunch date! We are also planning to take an afternoon trip over to Prato, a town just outside of Florence, so if you have any tips, I'd love to hear them! Other than that, we are hoping for more weekend bike rides!

What are your plans for next month?

Recently at ISO

To help plan your Christmas market travel, I've recently shared a post about how awesome the Christmas markets in the Baltics are. I also recently shared a post on how to give back if you live abroad or are traveling. While back in the U.S., I purchased a new stroller for Baby ISO since our old Baby Trend jogger recently bit the dust. I ended up buying another Baby Trend stroller* because it was a cheaper option than others, yet still can be steered with one hand and is narrow enough to fit in an old elevator!
