Because September is the start of a new school year and is generally a busy time for academic editing, we spent a lot of time in Vilnius this month. I enjoyed seeing the understated pieces of art from this year's Street Art Festival and relaxing in the city.
September is my birthday month! This year, we tried a new restaurant, went to a friend's birthday party, and enjoyed a day trip to the Lithuanian Open Air Museum.
On September 1, I launched an academic editing service and have been fortunately busy with it ever since. Although I've been editing for several companies for some time now, I've just started taking on my own clients. It feels awesome to work directly with clients to help improve their writing, rather than just edit it for them.
I also published some articles on Trip101 this month:
Comfortable And Convenient: Courtyard Stafford Quantico By Marriott
Pierogi Heaven At Zapiecek In Warsaw, Poland
An Inexpensive And Traditional Meal: Bar Prasowy, Warsaw, Poland
Coming next month
We've got a bunch of travel planned for October, so I'm excited to see where those travels take my writing. We are traveling somewhere in Lithuania for a weekend with our neighbors (destination TBD). Additionally, we will spend 6 days in Rotterdam and 5 days in Amsterdam. This will be our first time in The Netherlands, and both J and I are incredibly excited. If you have any tips I'd love to hear them!
Recently on In Search Of, I wrote a massive post about Cape May, New Jersey -- I love the photos in this post. I've also written about things to do in Connecticut with kids, 100 things to do in Lithuania, a restaurant guide to RVA, and much more.
How was your month? What are your plans for October?
