Frankfurt Christmas Market

Wednesday, December 23, 2015

I love this time of year. The lights, the mulled wine, the special sweets, and the cheer at Christmas Markets around Europe are just so special. This year we decided to take long weekend trip to Frankfurt, which happened to coincide with the start of the Frankfurt Christmas Market season. Holy moly, the Frankfurt Christmas Market was huge and spread across a few squares in the Altstadt neighborhood!

We've previously visited the Christmas Markets in Budapest, Vilnius, and Riga, but this was probably the best so far. The booths selling wooden toys and the people walking around with mulled wine is just what I'd imagined a Christmas Market would sell. It was a perfect way to get my merry on!

Merry Christmas! This is my last post for the week, as I'll be celebrating the rest of the week away with family. I'll be back with a new post on Monday. See you then! I hope you have a great time with your loved ones!

Have you been to the Frankfurt Christmas Market? Which Christmas Market in Germany is your favorite?
