Lithuania Runs on Coffee

Wednesday, December 2, 2015

As you guys know, I love coffee (give me a cup of dark roast, black coffee any time!). Luckily, so do Lithuanians. On our recent trip to Klaipeda, we found some awesome cafes that served delicious treats, single origin beans, and offered several different brewing techniques including Aeropress and Chemex. I love when cafes serve a full Chemex. The two cafes I've highlighted below do just that, and just have really Instagrammable interiors, which is great for bloggers!

1) Kavos Architektai: Kavos Architektai brews their coffee with single origin beans from the Lithuanian roaster Taste Map Coffee. Kavos Architektai was a great stop for our morning cup of coffee and the knowledgeable staff was awesome at explaining the different notes that each different bean would have.

2) No Sugar Klaipeda: I love the No Sugar location in Vilnius, but I think I like the location in Klaipeda even better. The atmosphere is cozy and the cafe is in a gorgeous brick building. Make this your stop if you are interested in trying coffee from The Barn - Berlin or if you are interested in joining a coffee tasting.

Do you like Chemex coffee? What is your typical coffee order?
