If you would like to participate in sharing creative things about where you live, tag your photos on Instagram or tweets on Twitter with #CreativeLithuania or #CreativeHomeTown. I'd love to see the creative side of every country!

First up in the Creative Lithuania Series is Open Kitchen. Open Kitchen is a collection of pop-up restaurants that occurs ever Friday during the warmer months. It takes place at the Organic Farmers Market Stalls (see on map) on the corner of Maironio g. and Aukstaiciu g.
I've been loving spending Friday evenings outside listening to music, people watching, and eating delicious foods from restaurants and bakeries all over Vilnius. The restaurants change weekly and you can find list of the vendors each week on the Open Kitchen Facebook page. What could be better than dinner outside? Free entertainment and a view! Open Kitchen often has a DJ and it is the perfect spot to watch hot air balloons take off for evening tours.

Check back for a Creative Lithuania post the second Friday of each month! Don't forget to share creative things about where you live with the #CreativeLithuania or #CreativeHomeTown.
I'm linking up with Casey for Fresh Face Friday. I'm linking up with the Sunday Traveler. I'm linking up with Katie for Social Saturday!
What is creative about where you live?

This sounds like a wonderful series - it can be so easy to be bogged down in the day-to-day detail!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I think this is a good way for me to focus on the good things about Lithuania AND it makes me get out and try a ton of new things. Perfect.
DeleteWow...that food looks AMAZING. I wish I could eat all of it at least twice!
ReplyDeleteThe food in Vilnius is delicious and these are some of the bests that come out for Open Kitchen. Yum!
DeleteWhat a great idea for a series! Love the idea of looking for creativity instead of difficulties - something I should remember as well.
ReplyDeleteAlso, my mouth totally watered when I saw those tacos. Too early for lunch at 9.00?
It is never to early for lunch! Those were the first really good tacos we found in Vilnius! If you want to share fun/creative things about where you live, try the different hash tags! I would love to learn creative things about everywhere!

DeleteOpen kitchen sounds like a great event. I was so impressed by the creativity and community feel that Vilnius had when I visited earlier this year.
ReplyDeleteI'm always so glad to hear that you had a nice time visiting Vilnius. Living here is a very different experience than traveling here, so I hope that I can keep up the positive vibes.
DeleteWhat a cool idea! I love pop up community events like these, especially during the warm summer months. The food looks pretty delicious too.
ReplyDeleteI love them too! I'm hoping that I can find similar fun things (perhaps indoors) in the colder months.
DeleteThis is so interesting! And the food looks great too. I also love the linkup idea - I'll definitely join if I can find anything interesting around here. . .I know it's somewhere!
